We design and manufacture integrated circuits for high temperature conditions. These components are specified for use at +225°C. This is what we call High Temperature Specific Components.
The target applications contain analog functions placed in a hot environment. One example where this applies is sensor applications where the sensor itself is placed at a high temperature location. This could be a bridge style pressure sensor placed on an engine.
It is in this case an advantage to have signal conditioning functions close to the sensor element. This will significantly improve signal integrity as there is then no need to carry small signals in long wires to a location far from the heat source. This approach is supported by the SG0611 High Temperature Instrumentation Amplifier.
We use Silicon on Insulator (SOI) technology together with a high temperature metal system to create real High Temperature Specific Components specified for use at +225°C.
